Crochet Barn is a non-profit crochet business dedicated to spreading warmth, comfort, and joy to those facing serious illnesses. We create high-quality, made-to-order custom crochet products, such as blankets, toys, clothing, and accessories, tailored to each customer’s unique preferences. For every order placed, we commit to matching that number by donating an equal quantity of our products to sick children in need. Through various charitable organizations and hospitals, we ensure that our donations reach children who could benefit from a handmade gift that brings comfort during their challenging times. By supporting our business, you’re not only receiving a one-of-a-kind crochet product but also contributing to a larger mission of kindness, compassion, and giving back. Each order you place directly helps brighten the day of a child in need.
How We Started
Mackenzie Verdun started Crochet Barn after her Ulcerative Colitis exacerbated to a critical state. Following repetitive and frequent hospitalizations she decided she needed a new way to distract herself - this is where her love for crocheting began. Mackenzie is self-taught, spending the majority of her time during hospitalizations perfecting her crochet techniques. Although she started with simple patterns, she later turned this passion into a non-profit business. Today, Mackenzie is successfully in remission and continues to pay tribute to other sick children through regular donations of hats and toys. Although Crochet Barn is still a small business, her dedication to brightening the day of sick children motivates her to consistently grow the business and expand her product list.
